Process: Review Supplier Process Planning
Process Purpose:
Review documented process planning at suppliers/partners to ensure processes are adequately defined and controlled. Process planning may include statistical process control plans, process control sheets, and other means of process definition. Ensure process planning is controlled by configuration management processes.
Supplier Emphasis:
To extent a supplier sources work to sub-tier suppliers, review sub-tier supplier planning processes to ensure the scope of work is adequately defined, configuration management is maintained, and work acceptance steps are appropriately utilized.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
Ability to review documented process planning at suppliers/partners to ensure processes are documented. Ability to understand and evaluate control methods to ensure adequacy and capability of process planning may include statistical process control plans, process control sheets, and other means of process definition. Ability to evaluate supplier defined processes to ensure process planning is controlled by configuration management processes.
